Worship Services

During Covid-19

Rationale for DVCC Guidelines

  • The Elders and Pastors have been closely following CDC and Pennsylvania state guidelines to develop our DVCC guidelines throughout the pandemic.

  • Recently, the CDC has made changes to it’s guidelines and those same guidelines have been adopted by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Health.

  • This version of the DVCC guidelines replaces prior guidelines and will be in effect until further notice. Please note that we have a mixed group of people with differing attitudes regarding the impact of Covid-19.  Please be respectful to others as we meet together. We want to maintain a judgement free environment for the good of all.

Prepare before you go

  • Whether you are vaccinated or unvaccinated, please plan to stay home if you are feeling ill, have been diagnosed with COVID-19, have symptoms of COVID-19, are waiting for COVID-19 test results, or if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.

  • Because masks can be uncomfortable, we will maintain a shortened service (about 1 hour).

  • The worship team is currently leading us in a time of worship.

Registration

  • Registration for services at DVCC is no longer required.  Please just plan to come and worship with us.

Masks

  • If you are fully vaccinated (i.e., have received 2 doses of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or 1 dose of Johnson and Johnson vaccine and have waited out a 2 week period following your vaccination), you are no longer required to wear a mask.

  • Unvaccinated individuals must still wear a mask.  Masks are required for these individuals at all times. Please be guided by Christian principles of honesty and love for others since we will not be inquiring about individual’s vaccination status, but follow the “honor system.”

Physical distancing and limited physical contact

  • Many individuals remain concerned about contracting Covid-19.  We will resume row seating for at least part of the auditorium.  Please use good judgment and consider maintaining a reasonable distance from people who don’t live in your household.

  • We will also provide some seating that is separated into smaller groupings for those who may be uncomfortable in sitting in rows.

Fellowship after the service

  • Please exit the building promptly following the end of the service.

  • We encourage fellowship outdoors following services when the weather is favorable.

Continue best practices

  • Clean hands often. Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with warm water. The bathrooms are available for soap and water washing.

  • DVCC has provided hand sanitizer stations throughout the building for your use.

Food Policy

  • At this time there should be no food brought into the building or prepared there.

  • Attendees are encouraged to bring their own bottled water.  Water is not to be shared by others, except by family groups.

Childrens’ Ministry

  • No registration is required to attend.

  • All unvaccinated children attending the childrens’ services or in the sanctuary should be masked.

  • All workers serving this ministry must wear masks (vaccinated or unvaccinated) for the safety of the children.
