Connect

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.  Matthew 28:19

Connect

One of DVCC's primary goals is to connect others to Jesus.  This can happen on a local or a global scale through various Outreach Ministries.

Fair Acres Geriatric Center

Our ministry to Fair Acres is in the beginning stages as we partner with the geriatric center to bring Sunday worship services to them once again, following the Covid pandemic.

More information will be coming as details are finalized.

Great Faith Vision

Great Faith Vision is a nonprofit organization that sends teams of healthcare professionals and individuals who assist them to sites in the United States and abroad to work with mission organizations in underserved areas.

GFV provides eye exams, medical and social services along with supplies and follow-up care.

Training is provided for those who wish to be a part of this outreach opportunity.

Greatest Hope Outreach

Greatest Hope Outreach ministers to the homeless community in Philadelphia by providing Blessing Bags several times a year.  Blessing Bags are filled with personal care items, as well as food and water to help those in need.  Volunteers distribute the bags as a team and also take the opportunity to speak with those who receive them.

Dates are announced throughout the year for those who are interested in participating in the bag distribution or for those who would like to contribute items to fill the bags.

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is a global outreach ministry that brings the gospel to children through the gift of a shoebox filled with presents.  The shoebox gifting is followed-up locally with teaching and the presentation of the gospel message.

Each year in October, DVCC gathers materials to pack shoeboxes that will be gathered in November for distribution in December.

Penn State Brandywine

Penn State Brandywine is perhaps our closest local ministry with the campus being located directly across the street from our church building.  We support the Penn State Pantry which provides food and personal items for students who may otherwise go without.  We also support the Nittany Christian Fellowship, a student-led group centered on the gospel of Christ.

There are other opportunities to share with the students through Student Move-In Day and Club Involvement Day and new opportunities are currently being explored.
