The Women's Bible Study is designed for women just starting on their journey with Jesus AND for those who long to go deeper in their walk with Jesus.

This fall the group will be studying Meet Me in the Bible: The Story of Abraham. Meet Me in the Bible is a simple, five-step framework designed to help you read your Bible. It incorporates the time-tested stages of Bible reading: observation, interpretation, and application. As a group, we'll work through this framework.

The story of Abraham (and Sarah) is relatable to ours: Both will fail, and both will demonstrate great faith. Both will shoulder great heartache, and both will be reminded that God always does what He says He will do

This is an eight-session study with a participant's guide. The cost is $10 for materials.
This group meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from 7:00-8:30 at DVCC. The group is led by Maura Fisher.
The Women's Afternoon Bible Study begins its second year this September. Liz Curtis Higgs's book, Really Bad Girls of the Bible: More Lessons from Less than Perfect Women will be the guide for this session. In this study, Ms. Higgs shares eye-opening stories of eight "really bad" women in the scriptures and demonstrates one life-changing concept: the sovereign power of God to rule our hearts and our lives with grace, compassion, and hope.

The study meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at DVCC from 12:30-2:00pm.

The book can be purchased from Amazon.
