  • The Elders and Pastors have been closely following CDC and Pennsylvania state guidelines to develop our DVCC guidelines throughout the pandemic.

  • This version of the DVCC guidelines replaces prior guidelines and will be in effect until further notice.

  • Please note that we have a mixed group of people with differing attitudes regarding the impact of Covid-19.  Please be respectful to others as we meet together. We want to maintain a judgment free environment for the good of all.

It is clear that the COVID situation is rapidly increasing and affecting many people including several from our congregation.  Cases in Delaware County and the surrounding counties are now exceeding the highest numbers seen at the height of the pandemic last winter.

Our policy all along has been to consider and follow recommendations from the CDC and PA Department of Health when considering what steps to take with our COVID Protocols.  You are probably aware that CDC recommendations have recently changed for periods of isolation.  However, the majority of the recommendations from the CDC and PA Department of Health continue to stand.  At this time, the CDC is recommending that masks be worn indoors regardless of vaccination status.

In addition to the data and the governmental guidance we, as followers of Christ, have a responsibility to protect and care for others in all circumstances.  We are therefore revising our protocols to include the following:

  • Please do not attend services at the church if you are not feeling well or exhibiting symptoms of flu or COVID.

  • If you have been exposed to someone with COVID, please follow CDC recommendations for isolation and testing.

  • Masks are STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals within the church building with the following exceptions:

    • Those leading singing may remove their masks during worship

    • Those speaking from the pulpit may remove their masks during meditations, sermons, etc.

    • Children under the age of 2 are not required to wear masks

  • Attendees should continue to physically distance themselves when possible.

We hope that these recommendations will only be temporary and we will reevaluate as conditions improve.  For the latest updates and information, continue to check back here and subscribe to our email blast by filling out the form at the bottom of this page.
