COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

March 1, 2022

  • The Elders and Pastors have been closely following CDC and Pennsylvania state guidelines to develop our DVCC guidelines throughout the pandemic.

  • This version of the DVCC guidelines replaces prior guidelines and will be in effect until further notice.

  • Please note that we have a mixed group of people with differing attitudes regarding the impact of Covid-19.  Please be respectful to others as we meet together. We want to maintain a judgment free environment for the good of all.

The new release of CDC guidelines indicates the following:

"People living in counties at the Low" or "Medium" levels will be advised that they do not need to wear a mask indoors.  People may choose to mask at any time.  People with symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask."

Delaware County currently meets the criteria for "low" levels.  Therefore, the Elders have revised the DVCC guidelines to indicate that there is no longer a strong recommendation to wears masks either indoors or outdoors, however, anyone who wants to wear a mask should continue to do so.  This guideline applies to Children's Ministries as well:  masks are optional for both children and adult volunteers.

In addition to the data and the governmental guidance we, as followers of Christ, have a responsibility to protect and care for others in all circumstances.  We are therefore we include the following in our protocols:

  • Please do not attend services at the church if you are not feeling well or exhibiting symptoms of flu or COVID.

  • If you have been exposed to someone with COVID, please follow CDC recommendations for isolation and testing.

We hope that these recommendations will only be temporary and we will reevaluate as conditions improve.  For the latest updates and information, continue to check back here and subscribe to our email blast by filling out the form at the bottom of this page.
