Outdoor Worship Service August 9, 2020 9:00-9:45am
OUTDOOR WORSHIP SERVICE SUNDAY, AUGUST 9, 2020 9:00- 9:45am
As we continue to seek to be faithful to the Lord, and wise in our approach to our current health crisis, we are providing the following information to address some important questions about our upcoming outdoor worship service. Our Task Force examined Pennsylvania COVID-19 guidelines, as well as recommendations from the CDC and information gathered from the recent congregational survey to develop procedures to ensure that we will be gathering as safely as possible. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the procedures. If you have any questions, please forward them to email@example.com. You will find a registration form at the bottom of this information. Please fill out the form in its entirety, if you plan to attend. This will help us ensure we are fully prepared.
Where and when do we meet?
The service will take place on Sunday, August 9th on the outdoor grounds of the church property.
Please arrive no later than 8:45am to allow for physical distancing while getting into place.
The service will begin promptly at 9:00am.
Masks MUST be worn while on church property.
The service will be held on the lawn area on the side of the building by the playground.
Bring your own chairs or blankets.
Use the marked spots on the lawn to maintain physical distancing.
If you are attending as a family, keep your family grouped together.
Once you are seated on the lawn, remain in place for the duration of the service.
Prior to and during the service, please minimize your interactions with others in attendance.
You may remain in your vehicle for the service.
There will be marked parking places for those choosing this option.
If you remain in your vehicle, you are not required to wear a mask. However, if you leave your vehicle, you MUST wear a mask.
What will the service be like?
The service will be similar to our online worship service.
We will use a public address system, so everyone should be able to hear well.
The following segments will be a part of the service:
We will sing a few songs using pre-recorded music.
If you choose to sing along, masks MUST be worn while singing. If you are uncomfortable singing with a mask, or experience difficulty breathing, please refrain from singing or sing quietly.
Individually packaged communion sets will be available at pre-stocked stations near the worship area.
As you make your way into the worship area, prior to the worship service beginning, have one member of your group pick up enough communion sets for your entire group.
Use hand sanitizer before you pick up your communion sets. Hand sanitizer will be available.
Dispose of communion sets in the provided receptacles following the worship service.
What do we do after the service?
At the conclusion of the service, those who would like may fellowship in the parking lot or lawn area while maintaining physical distance and wearing masks.
A survey will be sent to all those who have attended. Please respond so that we may better plan for future services.
What safety precautions will be taken?
Masks MUST be worn at all times while on church property.
All adults are required to wear a mask.
Per CDC guidelines, if feasible, children 3 and over should wear masks.
There will be NO ACCESS to the church building, including bathrooms. The service will be shorter than usual due to this requirement.
Physical distancing MUST be maintained while on church property. CDC and PA guidelines recommend a distance of at least 6 feet.
Hand sanitizer will be available, however, individuals may want to bring their own sanitizer or wipes.
Children MUST remain with their parents at all times while on church property.
The church playground will not be accessible.
